Meanwhile back at the bar, Ric was having a grand time drinking, dancing, running around, doing shots with the band (this is the last I remember seeing of him, doing a shot with him and a trumpet player)....at some point as the night was winding down, Ric began to realize that he could not find me or spot any of my friends in the bar, some of whom he had just met that night...he was drunk, banged up and had no clue how to get back to my ski house...or where it was for that matter...he kinda walked around for a bit as they were beginning to clear people out offering to help the maintenance crew clean up. He eventually struck up a conversation with the trumpet player from the band...he told him his story of woe and the trumpet player seemed to feel for my lost friend and invited Ric to come and party with them at the house they were staying at...which at the time picked Ric's spirits right up!
So there he was in a ski house with the band, technically lost without a home to goto..he drank beer, smoked some spirits and all in all had a great time...every now and then with the thought of "holy crap, it's like 4am and I have NO idea where Matt's house is!"....luckily Rick struck up a conversation with 2 K locals that offered to drive him around to help him find my house...he took them out to breakfast before hand..and after breakfast around 10:00am they finally pulled into my drive way....Ric wanted to kick my ass in at first, but once I explained that I had gotten bounced he understood...and besides, he had the night of a lifetime...partied to sun up with the band, who gets to say that?!
